Cornwall home to rugged cliffs and sandy beaches intersected by small fishing coves. A place of icecream’s, holidays and turquoise water but out of season Cornwalls coastal landscape comes alive. The pleasant summer destination becomes a dramatic and extreme environment with thick foggy days. A coastline battered by towering waves with gale force winds strong enough to push people off there feet. A bleak and dreary landscape with enough rain to flood lanes and roads testing the best waterproof jackets past there limits.
Out of season documents the winter landscape around the coastline of Englands most southerly County. A landscape based project capture the wild reality of a holiday destination closed and boarded up for winter but with a community that calls this area home. This project is currently ongoing.
